Personal OneNote Notebooks

OneNote is a highly effective for pedagogical research and collaboration!

OneNote is part of our Microsoft Office 365. Users gather notes (handwritten or typed), drawings, screen clippings, audio commentaries, bookmarks, any anything else into notebooks. Notebooks are organized into sections and pages. Adding the OneNote clipping tool to your browser allows users to add information from the web directly into a OneNote notebook.

Personal notebooks can be shared with other OneNote users over the Internet or a network.

Class Notebooks

OneNote offers a special shared notebook for classroom usage. Individuals are assigned roles of Teacher and Student when setting up the Class Notebook.

OneNote Class NotebookClass notebooks are designed to be used by a whole class. Each class notebook contains workspaces (sections) for each student, a content library for information distribution, and collaborative spaces for lessons and creative activities.

  • Student Notebooks – Each student receives their own section in the notebook. It is shared directly between the teacher and each student. Students only access their own sections and aren’t able to see other students’ notebooks.
  • Content Library – A notebook for teachers to share course materials with students. Teachers can add and edit its materials, but for students, the notebook is read-only.
  • Collaboration Space – A notebook for all students and the teacher in the class to share, organize, and collaborate.
