Preparing for Spring 2021
Members of the Instructional Technology Group and IS Academic Technologies will be offering two Canvas Weeks in preparation for the upcoming Spring semester. The first week will be Nov 30 – Dec 4. The second week will be Jan 11 – 15. We will offer both morning and afternoon sessions each day on a selected Canvas topic.
Please see the registration form for the specifics. After completing registration, you will get the Zoom link(s) for registered sessions. Seats are limited to 10 participants.
This class will provide a broad, high-level tour of Canvas features and functionality.

Canvas Pages and Modules
This class covers the Pages tool and Modules tool. For each tool, we’ll discuss the purpose, usage, and possible use cases with examples and demonstrations. There will be an opportunity for participants to work individually or in small groups in one of their own Canvas courses.

Quizzes and Grading
This class covers the Quizzes tool. Using examples and demonstrations, we’ll discuss the features, functionality, and differences between Classic/New Quizzes. We’ll also discuss Grading as it relates to the Quizzes too. There will be an opportunity for participants to work individually or in small groups in one of their own Canvas courses.

Assignments and Grading
This class covers the Assignments tool. We’ll discuss the Assignments tool and grading with examples and demonstrations. There will be an opportunity for participants to work individually or in small groups in one of their own Canvas courses.

This is a high level tour of the Katura* integration in a Canvas course. It will focus on understanding My Media and using the Media Gallery to deliver course specific video.
*Please note: This is not full Kaltura training. It is only a quick introduction to the Canvas integration. Separate Kaltura training is available on the PDC site.
