If you record Zoom sessions and save them to the cloud, you need to be aware of the change in Zoom storages that goes into effect on June 15. Previously Zoom cloud storage was unlimited and forever.

If you have recordings on Zoom cloud storage, you will ultimately need to download them if you want to archive them permanently.

  • On June 15 anything saved on Zoom cloud that is more than 180 days old will be moved to Zoom Trash automatically. This will happen on a rolling basis moving forward.
  • Anything in Trash is automatically deleted after it has been in Trash for 30 days. It is not recoverable once it is deleted from Trash. This is also going to happen on a rolling basis moving forward.

See what recordings you have saved in Zoom’s cloud

  1. Go to zoom.us in your browser and sign in with your WFU account
  2. Click Recordings and make sure you are on the Cloud Recordings
web view of recordings stored in the Zoom cloud

Archiving your recordings

Information Systems has provided instructions for downloading files from the Zoom Cloud. Once you have downloaded your files, you can either upload them to Kaltura or Google Drive.
