Windows File System Favorites
File system favorites are quick links to specific directories (folders) located on your hard drive. Favorites function much like web bookmarks do in your browser. To access your file system favorites, open any Windows Explorer window, like Computer, and look in the left hand pane.
- browse to the directory that you want to add a favorite link for
- right click the Favorite link in the left hand pane
- click the “Add current location to Favorites” menu item
