To manually change the sound output from your computer to the classroom multimedia system, perform the following:

For a PC

Right click on the speaker icon in your system tray.

Choose Open Sound Settings

Under the output section, click on the “Choose your output device” drop-down list.

Then, select the classroom multimedia device (usually DVX, or ExtronScalerD) from the list.

On older Windows PCs, your right click and Playback devices may look like this.

Select the desired Playback device (usually DVX, or ExtronScalerD) and then click Ok.

For a Mac

Click on the speaker icon in the upper right.

Then, select the desired output device (usually DVX, or ExtronScalerD).

Mac Alternate method

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, click Sound, then click Output.
  2. Select the device you want to use in the list of sound output devices. All sound output devices available to your Mac are listed, including the computer’s internal speakers, devices plugged into your computer’s sound port (), USB speakers, and AirPlay devices. For any device plugged into the computer’s sound port, choose Headphones.
