Requirements for minors:
Planning is important if students are to do all of the required work and
graduate within four years. Of particular importance is the semester abroad
requirement.
- One semester study abroad. (Frequently students choose to fulfill requirement during the autumn
semester of their Junior year.)
- Same semester: CHI or JPN 190
Year one (in an ideal sequence)
- CHI or JPN 101
- CHI or JPN 102
Year two
- CHI or JPN 153
- CHI or JPN 201
(Despite the difference in numeration, this sequence is simply at the intermediate language level.)
Year three
- CHI or JPN 220 (Spring)
- CHI or JPN 230 (Spring)
Year four

- Note two: If you entered your major during Spring of 2006 (including Fall 2006 late registration) you are only required to take HST 249, but you are required to take four electives.
